Lose Weight after Giving Birth on the Cheap

by Teresa Brown

Eating for two doesn’t just apply when you’re pregnant. Now that baby is born you’ve got more mouths to feed but your looking at the same money to work with. It can be hard to adjust financially to a new family but make sure you don’t skimp on where it can hurt you most.

If you want to lose weight after giving birth you can’t just snack on anything that is on sale. And as tempting as it may seem, getting a gym membership or personal trainer are good things to do but costly on your time and your wallet. Here are 3 simple tips to losing your baby fat without losing your credit.

A. Cut the Gym Contract

It’s the same old story when it comes to gyms, lots of people have memberships but never go. Having to leave your house to lose weight after giving birth is not necessary, you can tone and trim without flying the coop. Staying creative can include everything from tricep dips using a chair or pushups in the kitchen and crunches on an exercise ball or lunges across the living room.

B. Cut out the Cappuccino

When you are trying to lose weight after giving birth try not to drink your calories. Drinking a cappuccino 3 or 4 times per week may seem harmless to your taste buds but if you are a regular at the local coffee shop, this ‘harmless’ habit can be putting up to a 20 dollar hole in your pocket book and unwanted fat on your hips. If you can’t pull the chord on your favorite haunt, then try and stick with the juices or good old water.

C. Get a Personal Trainer to Go

Nowadays with fitness DVD’s you can have your own personal trainer at home to lose weight after giving birth. Yoga, Aerobics, and Tiabo are just some of the many options for getting your workout done in front of the TV. Instead of paying for pricey classes you can purchase a DVD once and use it at any time and as much as you want. It’s a cheap and easy way to get professional training in your own home.

Losing weight after giving birth shouldn’t cost you a pretty penny if you take things into your own hands. Try and remember that moms for centuries didn’t have boot camps or Atkins when losing the baby fat. Just remember to stay positive and that reading this and taking action is the first step to a new healthy you!
